Curriculum vitae
I have been working for twenty years as general practitioner in a branch practice in a turist resort Kranjska Gora, which is a part of a community health care centre Jesenice. I am president of executive boar of Slovene society of family physicians. My qualifications: MD, PhD, speaking Slovene, English, German, Serbian, Croatian, passive knowledge of Italian.
1993: member of the executive board of the Slovene family medicine society.
1994 on: member of EQuiP – the WONCA European working group on quality in family medicine.
1994 - 1996: member of expert group on quality of Council of Europe.
1994 on: national coordinator for quality in primary care.
1997: masters degree in public health University Zagreb (Task profile of family physicians).
1996 to 2000: member of the Educational council of Medical chamber.
1997 on: president of the executive board of Slovene family medicine society.
1998 on: quality manager of Primary health care centre Gorenjsko.
2001: Ph degree University Ljubljana (Determinants of patient satisfaction with family physicians)
2001: author of the report on quality in Slovene health care services for WHO Regional office Copenhagen.
2001: appointed associated professor at the Department of family medicine University Ljubljana.
2002 - 2006: member of the National Health Board at the Ministry of Health.
2003: course director of international EURACT course Learning and teaching about medical ethics in family practice, Bled, September 2-6.
2003 on: member of EURACT Council– the WONCA European academy of teachers in family medicine.
2004 on: Head of the Family medicine department at Medical school University Maribor.
2007: appointed Professor of family medicine
I have been/am involved in following EU/international projects: PRIMACOM, EUROPEP, MATRA, IMPROVE, EPA, EPA-Cardio and several other research collaborations.
